Yellow Lucite Hoot Owl Earrings

I started with vintage lucite owls in fun, super mod colors. I framed them in an swoop of sterling silver, slightly reminiscent of a tree branch, or perhaps the crescent moon. Though they are on the large side at 2 1/4 inches long, the lucite is very lightweight. I personally have ears that are sensitive to weight and I wear my pair quite happily with no issues.

Formed by my hammer, torch and pliers, these were as fun for me to make as I hope they'll be for you to wear.
